Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Tally HQ mobile application ("App") operated by Chance Hunter, CPA. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of service

Tally HQ is a mobile invoicing and estimating tool for contractors and tradespeople. It allows you to create invoices and estimates, manage clients, and send professional PDF documents. Tally HQ does not process payments, hold funds, or act as a financial intermediary. Payment between you and your clients occurs through third-party platforms (Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, PayPal, etc.) that you configure independently.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device and any data stored on it. Tally HQ does not currently require account registration — the App works in a "guest" mode with data stored locally on your device.

3. Free and paid tiers

Tally HQ offers a free tier with limited usage (5 invoices per month, unlimited estimates, 5 clients) and a paid "Pro" tier with unlimited usage and additional features. Pricing is displayed in the App and on the App Store and Google Play Store listings. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the App's Settings screen or through your device's subscription management settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.

4. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple (for iOS) or Google (for Android) according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly. If you believe you were charged in error, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support.

5. Your data

You own all data you enter into Tally HQ, including invoices, estimates, client information, and business profile details. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content. You can export your data at any time, free of charge, from the Settings screen.

If you stop using the App or cancel your subscription, your locally stored data remains on your device. We do not delete, restrict, or hold your data hostage based on your subscription status.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that invoices will result in payment from your clients. You are solely responsible for your business relationships and financial transactions.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, [Your Name or Company] shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
